INK ON PAPER, ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

While painting the Portrait Series, photographs of our wedding in 1969 came up.  I began to paint ink on paper the "wedding characters" - preacher, wedding party, family, friends, etc. The wedding characters were cut out like paper dolls.  Paper dolls were so fun to create with a long-time friend, Karen.  My characters on paper are attached to wood and covered with clear vinyl.  I moved on from there to very large acrylic, colorful, paintings on canvas inspired by the wedding photographs.
