Lantana Ladies Print Making Card Class
January 2023
Ladies in a Lantana crafting group had a great time learning how to make their own prints and use those to print their own greeting cards. Attendees took home the printed cards they each made plus the cut-out prints for making more cards in the future. It was such a fun activity and a great time! Watercolor Painting Class with Artist
Adela McGrew
Students enjoyed learning watercolor techniques and painting their own masterpieces with artist Adela McGrew at the Red Barn Studio with us here at KHouseArt in the fall of 2022. They did a great job and were so proud of their pieces!

We are pleased to have been selected to showcase one of Kathleen's pieces, Going Out to Eat, at this year's VAST Member Exhibition, a juried event, in Denton, Texas. The exhibit provides an excellent avenue for the North Texas community to appreciate the high quality and diverse nature of art produced by area artists.
Going Out to Eat
In 2022, Kathleen House decided to paint about life. Going Out to Eat (pictured below) has to do with being able to get out of the house after the pandemic and meet family and friends for dinner. This piece shows a lot of different meals that could be enjoyed with different groups.

We are excited to participate again this year in the Cross TImbers Artists' Guild Annual Studio Tour and reception. The tour gives the public the opportunity to experience and enjoy a variety of fine art available in the area, including artists from a wide range of disciplines such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, clay, glass, fiber, furniture and mosaics.
Join us Friday night for the reception at The Art House at 6100 Long Prairie Rd, Ste 800 in Flower Mound. Or use the map below to plan out your studio tour and visit local studios on Saturday and Sunday.

September and October 2022
Come see pieces from KHouse Art and other local artists from the Cross Timbers Artist Guild on display during September and October at the Palace Arts Center in Grapevine, Texas. The art gallery is located in the Lancaster Theatre at 300 S. Main St., Grapevine, Texas, where pieces are displayed on the beautiful brick interior walls.
Be sure to stop in and see them during the GrapeFest weekend, September 15-17. The art exhibit viewing times are Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm and during special events, such as GrapeFest.

We are thrilled to donate two pieces to the auction for this special evening event complete with dinner, performances, VIP Guest Laura Leigh Turner, both silent and live auctions, and an after-party with music by In10City Band. Proceeds benefit the mission and future of Christian Youth Theater, devoted to building character through the medium of Creative Arts. Get more information here.

Umoja Together: A Night of Interwoven Art

We are pleased to donate three pieces to the auction for this special evening event which will include performances, an art auction, food and drinks inspired by Refugee Services of Texas' (RST) newly released cookbook Plated Stories: Legacies from Home to Table. Come join us at the Sons of Hermann Hall in Deep Ellum for this event open to all ages. A concurring virtual event and statewide art auction is available for supporters outside of the Dallas area. Refugee Services of Texas (RST) is the largest resettlement agency in Texas serving refugees, asylees, survivors of human trafficking and other displaced populations. This year, 2022, they have served over 3,000 people and continue to welcome Afghans, Cuban parolees, Ukrainians and other arrivals.

Donated Auction Items for Renovations to the Historic Anthony Theatre
July, 2022 in Anthony, KS
It was such an honor to donate these pieces to raise funds for the continued renovation of the Historic Anthony Theatre. I remember seeing Easy Rider, The Blob, Psycho and The Birds in this theatre as a teenager, so the project is nostalgic for me.
Two of the pieces represent the movies I remember seeing in this theater, and the other two are of musicians George Strait and Waylon Jennings. Stop by the Idle Hour in Anthony to see the Easy Rider piece on display.
