Join us for a landscape watercolor class by artist Adela McGrew. The class includes all supplies, instruction for 2 landscape designs - fall and winter, and lunch at the Bartonville Store!

You will:

• Work on professional watercolor paper, Arches 140 lb.
• Trace the design before painting
• Watch, learn and paint as Adela paints the design in front of you.
• Enjoy free lunch with the group at The Bartonville Store 

All needed supplies are included in the price of the class, so grab a friend and come learn about watercolor. 

Class size is small and limited to about 9 people, so each person will receive the individual attention needed. 

About the Artist:

Meet Adela McGrew - I’m originally from Bogotá, Colombia, where I studied advertising design. My geologist husband and I moved all over the world, and it was in Egypt that I found a great teacher. Manzur Ahmed sparked my love for watercolors and established a base for oils. Since then I have taken many workshops including ones by Jerry Yarnell, George Kantoupis, Ken Hosmer, Lian Zhen, Eric Weigardt, Frank Francese, and others. Jeanne Dobie and Sue Archer both opened new doors to my work. I particularly love to paint still life scenes, pottery, landscapes, and interesting old architecture. I have won several awards from the Greater Kansas City Art Association and the Society of Watercolor Artists, where I am a signature member.

I thank my husband for not listening to me every time I get frustrated and tell him to give or throw everything away. Frustration is part of the journey but the rewards are far more meaningful. Every painting I finish is one more step to my world of beauty, and the best of all is that it is my world.
